The Ultimate Leh Ladakh Trip

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Leh.

Upon arrival at Leh airport, our representative will receive you and transport you to your hotel for check-in. Spend the day relaxing and getting acclimated. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day 2: Visit to Monasteries

After breakfast, head to Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Hemis Monastery. These monasteries, which date from the 15th to 17th century, feature outstanding Buddhist teachings, murals, frescoes, and statues. Return to Leh for dinner and an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 3: Leh Local Sightseeing.

After breakfast, visit the Hall of Fame (war museum), Spituk Monastery (7 km away), founded by Od-Lde in the 11th century and named by Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the confluence of  the Indus and Zanskar rivers (Sangam, 35 km away). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh. 

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley.

After breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley over the world's highest motorable road, Khardungla Pass (18,380 feet). Stop at the pass to take photos and savor the scenery. Arrive at Deskit, Nubra's little capital, by afternoon. Explore the settlements of Deskit and Hunder, and then take a camel safari (at your own expense) over the sand dunes between them. Dinner and overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 5: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok.

After breakfast, travel to Pangong on the Agham Shyok route, which follows the Shyok River from Agham to Shyok Village, 36 kilometers away. During the summer, crossing the river might be risky. Dinner and overnight stay at a campground near Pangong Lake.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh.

Spend the morning exploring the scenery surrounding Pangong Lake. This turquoise brackish lake is 5-6 kilometers wide and nearly 144 kilometers long, with half of it located on the Indo-China border. The scenery is unforgettable. In the late afternoon, drive back to Leh. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day 07: Airport Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward flight, carrying sweet memories of Ladakh.
