Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Siliguri to Gangtok / MG Marg
Arrive at Siliguri and drive to Gangtok through scenic mountain roads along the Teesta River. Check in at the hotel. Explore Mahatma Gandhi Marg (MG Marg) — Gangtok’s vibrant pedestrian promenade lined with shops, cafés, and cultural centres. Experience the lively atmosphere and savour local Sikkimese cuisine. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2 — Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast, explore Gangtok’s key landmarks — Tashi View Point with panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Ganesh Tok temple perched on a hilltop, the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, and the Himalayan Zoological Park housing snow leopards, red pandas, and rare Himalayan wildlife. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 3 — Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass
Full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (a glacial lake at 12,400 feet with pristine turquoise waters), Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, Nathula Pass (14,000+ feet — the historic India-Tibet trading route on the Indo-China border), and Memencho Lake surrounded by rich Himalayan flora and rare bird species including the Himalayan Monal and Satyr Tragopan. Return to Gangtok for overnight stay.
Day 4 — Gangtok to Lachen
After breakfast, drive to Lachen through pristine forests and quaint mountain villages. The journey reveals stunning vistas of snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows. En route, pass through the breathtaking landscape towards the remote northern frontier of Sikkim. Arrive in Lachen and check in. Overnight stay.
Day 5 — Gurudongmar Lake & Kalapather → Lachung
Early morning drive to Gurudongmar Lake — a sacred glacial lake at nearly 17,000 feet, highly revered by pilgrims and locals alike. Explore Kalapather, a pristine Himalayan destination offering panoramic views of snow-capped summits, lush valleys, and cascading waterfalls. After the excursion, drive to Lachung. Check in at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 6 — Yumthang Valley & Katao
After breakfast, explore Yumthang Valley — the famous “Valley of Flowers” surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks, alpine meadows, and seasonal blooms. Continue to Katao, where lush forests give way to alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks. The crisp mountain air and dramatic landscapes make this a photographer’s paradise. Return to Lachung for overnight stay.
Day 7 — Return to Siliguri
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Siliguri through scenic mountain roads. Transfer to the railway station or airport for your onward journey. Tour ends with unforgettable memories of North Sikkim’s pristine wilderness.
