Day 1
Haridwar - Govindghat/Joshimath
Meet at the Haridwar Railway Station on the first day of your trip to begin an exciting drive uphill towards Govindghat. You will be able to witness the breathtaking scene at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers meet to form the magnificent River Ganges, while traveling through this area. When you get to Joshimath, you can choose to remain there or go on to Govindghat, depending on where lodging is available. If you are looking for lodging, you should look at hotels in Haridwar or the surrounding area, especially those beside the holy Ganga River or the Haridwar Temple, for a restful and satisfying stay.
A Night of Devotion: Attending the Ganga Aarti in Haridwar
Tucked away in the Himalayan foothills, Haridwar is more than simply a city—it's a spiritual journey. Of all its gifts, the Ganga Aarti is one of the most significant rituals that draws in both locals and tourists.
The banks of the holy Ganges River come alive with blazing flames and melodic chanting as evening falls upon the holy city. This is the prelude to the captivating show that is the Ganga Aarti.
Honoring the divine river Ganges, or "Ganga Mata" as she is lovingly called, the Ganga Aarti is a profoundly spiritual rite. Priests dressed in colorful garments make coordinated motions with oil lamps, incense, and flowers throughout this act of appreciation, adoration, and devotion, all to the accompaniment of passionate hymns.
Day 2
Govindghat – Ghangaria
We will drive from Joshimath to Govindghat or Pulna Village after an early-morning breakfast. On the second day, the 13-kilometer trek from Govindghat/Pulna to Ghangaria would begin. Spend the night at Ghangharia.
Day 3
Ghangaria – Valley of Flower – Ghangaria
This morning, make a hearty breakfast because you will be trekking 3858 kilometers to get to the Valley of Flowers. Have fun spending the day discovering the different bushes, flowers, herbs, birds, and creatures in the Valley of Flowers. After taking in the splendor of the natural world, begin your walk back to Ghangharia. Spend the night at Ghangharia.
Exploring the Enchanting Valley of Flowers
Nestled in the Indian Himalayas lies Ghangaria, a tranquil village and the gateway to the renowned Valley of Flowers. Accessible only by foot, it offers pristine surroundings and serves as a starting point for unforgettable adventures. The valley itself is a botanical wonderland, bursting with thousands of colorful alpine flowers every summer. Trekking through this paradise reveals breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls.
Day 4
Ghangaria – Hemkund Shahib – Ghangaria
We will begin our walk to Hemund Sahib on the fourth day. The 6-kilometer (difficult) hike to Hemkund Sahib is one way. Along the trip, there are numerous streams and waterfalls. Swim in the Hemkund Sahib Lake, see the Laxman Temple, and the Gurudwara. You can also explore the surrounding area if you have time. Return on foot to Ghangaria. Spend the night in a cheap motel in Ghangharia.
Day 5
Ghangaria – Govindghat – Badrinath
Get up early in the morning as you have to start your descend trek of 13 km to Govindghat which will take approximately 4.5 hours to reach there. From Govindghat you can take a ride to Badrinath and Mana Village from where you will get to see Neelkanth peak, Vasundhra Falls, etc. And after enjoying all of this return back to Badrinath hotel for a night stay.
Note: Trek to Vasundhra is not included as it requires one more day. This package is also available with Badrinath Dham Darshan only (without Mana Village sightseeing) and returns back to Govindghat or Joshimath hotel for night stay.
Day 6
Badrinath – Haridwar
Get up early take a dip in the hot water kund if you wish to and visit Badrinath temple. After breakfast its time to depart for Haridwar. From there you can take a ride to your home with lots of memories that you’re gonna cherish all your life. Our trek services will end at Govindghat/Joshimath and trip ends at Haridwar.
